Alocasia

Alocasia likes to have humidity levels of at least 60% but would prefer 70% in a perfect world.

Additionally, the plant has been extensively hybridized. Most Alocasia species will do all right in shade, but they often appreciate slightly brighter filtered sunlight. The bigger ones can be trained to handle the full tropical sun. Keep all species warm, moist, and humid.

It simply does not rot in the water! Alocasias tend to grow in moist and wet places, for example in the rainforest climate of Brazil. These roots need oxygen, which they do get even when they're in the water. They don't get enough of it in dense or very wet soil though

Be sure to keep an Alocasia plant away from air conditioners and cold drafts. During warm summer months, and Alocasia can produce a new leaf every week and each new leaf maybe twice the size of the previous leaf. Alocasia plants grow best in high humidity.

The Alocasia Frydek being a tropical plant requires hot and humid surroundings to grow well. The plant can also be shifted outdoors to let it be exposed to more warmth. – Pests and insects that affect the plant can be another cause of drooping foliage. Mealybugs, spider mites, aphids, etc.
